Virginia Chamber of Commerce elects new chair

The Virginia Chamber of Commerce has named a new chair of its board of directors. Seventeen people also have been elected to the board.


During its annual meeting, held at the Omni Richmond Hotel, the chamber elected Charlie Meyer as chair. Meyer is a Richmond-based attorney and managing partner at O’Hagan Meyer, an employment and business law firm with offices in multiple states, including three Virginia locations. He succeeds Suzy Kelly, CEO of Chesapeake-based Jo-Kell Inc.


The board of directors also elected Paige Clay as first vice chair. Clay is the managing partner for Mercer, leading the mid-South market, which includes the Carolinas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.

The 17 new board members are:

Krissy Gathright, chief operations officer, Apple Hospitality REIT
Quinn F. Graeff, general counsel, Medical Facilities of America Inc.
Thomas A. “Tag” Greason, chief hyperscale officer, QTS Inc.
Mark Hourigan, CEO, Hourigan
J. William Karbach, CEO and chairman, Branch Group
Brian E. Kearney, COO, Kearney & Co.
Elizabeth A. Kersey, vice president, communications and public policy, PRA Group
Stewart T. Leeth, vice president of regulatory affairs and chief sustainability officer, Smithfield Foods Inc.
Christopher D. Lloyd, senior vice president and director, McGuireWoods Consulting LLC
Brian Moore, manager, U.S. Public Policy, Amazon
Nicholas J. Pace, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Owens & Minor
James Reinhart, CEO, National Credit Care
Andrew D. Rome, head of employee relations and employment law, CFA Institute
Susan Spears, president and CEO, Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce
David Zolet, President and CEO, LMI
