UDig expands headquarters in Henrico
IT consulting firm UDig is expanding its headquarters in Henrico County, creating 51 new jobs.
The company purchased the 23,000-square-foot Page building in Forest Office Park and consolidated its Richmond employees into the office earlier this year.
UDig will almost double its number of employees with the expansion. About 10 of the additional 51 employess have already been hired. The company currently employs 125 workers, with 40 in Richmond and the rest in its Northern Virginia office and remote workers.
“UDig was founded in Henrico County and this community is our home,” Andy Frank, UDig’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “This space signifies an important milestone in our company’s history, enabling us to provide a more collaborative, flexible work space for our teams to better serve our clients.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership will support UDig’s project through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP). VJIP provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change to support employee training activities.
UDig will receive $900 per job for up to a total of $45,900 in VJIP funding.
Virginia successfully competed against Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. for the project.
