PRESIDENT, L.F. JENNINGS INC., FALLS CHURCH
Jennings leads the general contracting firm founded in 1952 by his grandfather, bricklayer Lawrence Floyd Jennings. Jon Jennings joined the family business in 2000 and oversees the 350-employee company’s operations in the metro D.C. area and Richmond.
L.F. Jennings has a broad portfolio of projects. In Washington, D.C., it’s building the U.S. Park Police Horse Stables and Education Center on the National Mall. In Virginia, it’s renovating Crystal City Water Park in Arlington. The company also built the Fredericksburg Nationals baseball stadium.
In December 2021, Jennings finished renovations on Birch & Broad, a strip mall in Falls Church previously known as Falls Plaza.
In the Richmond area, Jennings has worked on projects in Short Pump, including renovations at Parc Place shopping center. Downtown, the company had a hand in the adaptive reuse of a 14-story office building, turning it into residences. It’s also helping Bon Secours expand services around the city’s Manchester area, where the health system is building a community clinic for uninsured patients.
