NAIOP recognizes 27 projects with awards

The Northern Virginia chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s (NAIOP) annual awards program attracted more than 800 people last week who came out to see which area projects would be recognized.


Twenty-seven awards were presented in the following categories: transactions, interiors, marketing, buildings and membership. Listed below are some of the winners:

Best Real Estate Transaction: Sale
Award of Merit
Monument View in Crystal City, submitted by Monument Realty. Team members included Square Mile Capital Management Group, Atlas Capital Group, and CBRE Inc.

Award of Excellence
1776 Wilson Boulevard in Rosslyn, submitted by Skanska USA Commercial Development Inc.  Team members included: 1776 Wilson LLC, Invesco and Cassidy Turley.

Best Real Estate Transaction: Lease 
Award of Merit
Central Place, CEB Tower at Central Place in Rosslyn, submitted by
The JBG Cos. Additional team member included CBRE, Inc.


Best Master Plan:
Award of Excellence
Spring Hill Station in Tysons Corner submitted by WDG Architecture.
Team members included The Georgelas Group and Moriarty.

Best Building, Mixed Use Project:
Award of Excellence
The Kingsley in Alexandria submitted by Buchanan Partners LLC.
Team members included The Pinkard Group, Principal Real Estate Investors, Buvermo Properties, Davis, Carter, Scott Ltd. , Rust Orling Architecture and SE Foster.

Best Building, Speculative Office, 15 stories and above:
Award of Merit
1812 North Moore Street in Rosslyn, submitted by Monday Properties. Team members included Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Davis, Carter
Scott Ltd and Clark Construction Group.

Award of Excellence
Tysons Tower, submitted by Macerich. Team members included CBRE
Inc., Gensler, Harvey Cleary Builders and Hines.

Membership, Firm of the Year:
Award of Excellence, Buchanan Partner LLC
