Media General leases floor in the Empire State Building

Richmond-based Media General Inc. has leased the entire 62nd floor at the Empire State Building to centralize its six digital media companies and national sales headquarters in one location.

The lease involves 26,782 square feet, according to the landlord, Empire State Realty Trust Inc. and Douglas Elliman Real Estate, which represented Media General in the transaction. One of Media General's companies is currently based at Empire State Realty’s  One Grand Central Place.

Media General operates or services 71 television stations in 48 U.S. markets and has a significant presence in the digital media business.

Other high-profile tenants at the Empire State Building include Coty, Skanska, BrightRoll, Bulova, LinkedIn and Shutterstock.
