Culbreth is a Virginia Tech graduate who has worked for American Woodmark since 2014, starting as its chief financial officer before being named president and CEO in 2020.
The company, which sells cabinets under the brands American Woodmark, Shenandoah Cabinetry, Timberlake Cabinetry and Waypoint Living Spaces, grew its revenue 6% during the 2022 fiscal year to $1.86 billion.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Culbreth serves on the Finance Advisory Board for Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech and is an independent director on the board of Flexsteel Industries Inc. After college, Culbreth went to work for Shell Oil Co. and held executive positions at Robert Bosch LLC and Newell Brands. He earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Aside from being a Hokies fan, he also attends Carolina Panthers NFL games.
