Granger spends his days working through billion-dollar multinational acquisitions with companies in the United Kingdom. He spends his down time volunteering at church or coaching his kids’ sports. Work is a priority, he says. But so is his family and faith. “Life is more fun when you serve others and don’t take yourself too seriously,” he says.
The Richmond native takes that attitude into every acquisition he handles. Granger joined Hunton & Williams fresh out of the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985 — the year after he worked as a summer associate there — and has spent his career with the firm, taking charge of its largest office in 2017. His company merged with Andrews Kurth Kenyon LLP in 2018 and now has about 900 attorneys worldwide.
The William & Mary graduate sits on the Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Blueprint Virginia 2030 Steering Committee, and is general counsel and youth Sunday School teacher for Second Baptist Church in Richmond.
