Henrico civil engineering firm promotes two execs

Draper Aden Associates has six locations in Virginia.

Published February 11, 2020 by Sydney Lake

Henrico County-based civil engineering firm Draper Aden Associates (DAA) promoted Sri Nathella as a principal at their Blacksburg location and Tyrus Clayton as a principal at their Raleigh, North Carolina, location, the company announced Tuesday.

Nathella has 29 years of experience, 25 of which have been at DAA in environmental engineering and he leads the firm’s brownfields land renewal program.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India, and his master’s degree in environmental engineering from Arizona State University.

Clayton has more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and has been with DAA since 2011. He most recently worked as a senior project manager in the site development and infrastructure division in DAA’s Raleigh office.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.

DAA was founded in 1972 and provides a variety of engineering, site planning and construction inspection services in the mid-Atlantic. The company is headquartered in Henrico County and has offices in Blacksburg, Manassas, Newport News, Charlottesville and Virginia Beach. It also has two offices in North Carolina, including its Raleigh and Cary locations. Its headquarters moved from Blacksburg to Richmond in 2017.
