General Dynamics IT division lands $57M Navy contract
Falls Church-based aerospace and defense contractor General Dynamics Corp.’s information technology division has landed a $57 million Sailor 2025 contract to develop tools and technology for the largest curriculum development program in the U.S. Navy.
General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. will support the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division by implementing a curriculum to support the Navy’s Ready Relevant Learning employee training program to provide sailors with skills as needed at various points in their careers.
Through this $57 million delivery order award, General Dynamics Information Technology will implement a variety of learning resources such as instructor-facilitated learning and self-directed interactive training, which will be available in the Navy’s e-Learning platform, in labs and via virtual reality and mobile displays. General Dynamics will also implement performance support and offer on-the-job resources.
Sailor 2025, the Navy’s program to improve and modernize personnel management, was created in 2015 to recruit, develop, manage, reward and retain service members.
