Winners are determined based on information gathered internally by the Staunton Award Program and data provided by third parties.(News Leader)The Broadway-Timberville Chamber of Commerce board of directors has voted to align with the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber, according to a statement released in June. The change was made “in order to provide greater benefits and value to our current members and business community,” because of Harrisonburg-Rockingham’s larger size and scope, Randy Andes, Broadway-Timberville’s chamber chairman, said in the statement.

A Shenandoah Valley agri-tourism program is extending its reach to Page County.The Fields of Goldinitiative led by the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission will survey the county’s agricultural businesses for inclusion in the program’s promotional campaign. The survey will include agricultural activities, farm retailers and restaurants featuring local products in the county. The program promotes the Shenandoah Valley as an agri-tourism destination.(VirginiaBusiness.com)

Dairy operatorHP Hoodis increasing ultra-high temperature production capacity at its Frederick County facility, adding 75 jobs and investing $84.6 million. The expansion will bring the total employment at the plant to 500. Lynnfield, Mass-based Hood products include Bailey’s Coffee Creamers, Hershey’s Milk and Milkshakes and Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almondmilk. (VirginiaBusiness.com)

The Winchester-basedIntegrity Home Mortgage Corp.announced the addition of a Harrisonburg branch. The branch, located at 1960 Evelyn Byrd Ave., will be staffed by loan officer Tim Cline.(Northern Virginia Daily)

Winchester-basedValley Health Systemis teaming up with Inova Health System. Inova, which has five hospitals in Northern Virginia, and Valley Health, which has six hospitals in Virginia and West Virginia, said they will seek ways to collaborate in clinical research, information technology, population health and clinic service delivery.  Under the plan, the health systems will remain separate and be independently governed, and neither entity will have a seat on the other’s board. In addition, no jobs will be affected by the agreement.(VirginiaBusiness.com)

Waynesboro-basedLumos Networks Corp.signed a multiyear Ethernet network contract with HCA Virginia in Richmond. The network will connect 10 HCA Virginia facilities, satellite offices and critical-care locations to its Richmond Data Center. The project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2013 and will bring to 17 the number of HCA Virginia facilities connected on Lumos’ fiber network through advanced Ethernet services. The cost of the deal was not disclosed.(VirginiaBusiness.com)
