CEO AND PRESIDENT, ALARM.COM, TYSONS
Trundle has led Tysons-based home security tech company Alarm.com since May 2003. He was chief technology officer at MicroStrategy when Alarm.com was founded in 2000. MicroStrategy sold the spinoff security business to a group of investors in 2009, and Alarm.com went public in 2015.
Alarm.com has since been expanding rapidly as the market for connected home and business security services increases. In 2020 and 2021, it was named to Fortune magazine’s list of the top 100 Fastest Growing Companies, marking a 22% growth rate over the previous three years and bringing in $639 million in revenue in 2021. In fiscal 2022, its revenue increased to $842.6 million.
Last year, the security company said it would invest $2.6 million to expand its research and development division, creating 180 jobs in video analytics, facial recognition and mobile services at its Tysons headquarters. The company provides network operations and cloud-based services for home and business security companies like ADT.
Alarm.com has about 1,900 employees. Trundle has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and government from Dartmouth College.
