Dori Foods acquired by California distributor

Richmond-based Dori Foods announced Tuesday it has been acquired by Good Source Solutions, a national specialty food distributor.

Good Source, based in Carlsbad, Calif., is a portfolio company of Evergreen Pacific Partners.

The acquisition gives Good Source a larger East Coast distribution network and adds to it education market. It also offers Dori Foods access to a larger selection of products.

Dori Foods president, Frank Baum, will retain his position.

Dori Foods is a specialty food distributor to schools, corrections and nonprofit markets. It was founded by 1979.
