Digital Benefit Advisors names managing principal of its Virginia offices

Atlanta-based Digital Insurance, an employee benefits-only agency, has hired Chris Schutt as managing principal of the Virginia offices of Digital Benefit Advisors, a division with 24 offices across the country.

Schutt is responsible for guiding a 55-member team operating out of Richmond, Charlottesville and Roanoke.

Since 2011, Digital Benefit Advisors has acquired Strategic Employee Benefits Services of Virginia, Dominion Benefits in Richmond and CCA in Reston.

Before joining Digital, Schutt was managing director of the Virginia office of Marsh & McLennan and previously led business development for the mid-Atlantic region of Marsh.

He also managed the Norfolk operation of Marsh & McLennan and was responsible for the risk management and health-care consulting operations.
