Desmi Inc. relocates and will expand in an industrial building in Chesapeake

Published October 31, 2013 by Paula C. Squires

Demsi Inc. has leased 37,000 square feet of space in an industrial building on two acres in the Cavalier Industrial Park in Chesapeake, three times the space it has now.

The global company specializes in the development and manufacturing of pump solutions, environmental equipment and special products. Currently located at 4021 Holland Blvd., it first opened an office in Chesapeake in 2008. It chose to remain in Chesapeake and will relocate and expand within the industrial park, with its new facility scheduled to be ready by Nov. 1. The company plans to add 34 jobs as part of its $1.9 million expansion.

Christine Kaempfe of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled lease negotiations on behalf of the tenant while Patrick Mumey and Tony Weiss, also with Thalhimer, marketed the facility for sale/lease and represented the landlord.
