Deloitte named Alison Rogish its new Central Virginia marketplace leader Wednesday, the first woman to hold the role.

“It’s an honor to have been asked to serve as marketplace leader for Deloitte’s Central Virginia practice,” Rogish said in a statement. “I look forward to using my knowledge and experience to build on our marketplace excellence and growth.”

The Central Virginia practice has about 300 employees and includes Richmond and Hampton Roads clients. Rogish will be responsible for Deloitte’s strategy, business development, corporate citizenship and other strategic initiatives in the market.

She joined Deloitte in 1998 and specialized in providing human capital services to clients in the financial services industry. In 2005, she became relationship leader for several clients in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. In 2015, she was promoted to managing director of client relationships.

“Alison brings an impressive track record of professional achievements and dedication to serving the Central Virginia community,” Kevin McGovern, east region marketplace leader for Deloitte, said in a statement. “She has the ability and experience to build upon our strong presence and bring our professionals together to continue to serve clients with distinction.”

Rogish sponsors several Deloitte initiatives on gender equity in financial services, like DC Spark: Financial Services, a networking organization for women in the financial services industry in Washington, D.C.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University.

Rogish succeeds Dan Hudgens, who served as Central Virginia managing partner for 13 years and is transitioning to serving clients on the West Coast.
