Cushman & Wakefield Thalhimer announces two leases for non-profits.

Published October 21, 2013 by Paula C. Squires

The Salvation Army of Central Virginia has leased 80,000 square feet at 1405 Cummings Drive in Richmond for a distribution center.

According to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, a portion of the space for the center was donated by the landlord, Michael and Son Inc., which Thalhimer represented in the transaction.

The Salvation Army will use the center for its Christmas Assistance Program, which offers a shopping experience and gifts for more than 7,500 underprivileged children and 300 senior citizens.

In another deal involving a nonprofit, Thalhimer assisted Rappahannock Goodwill Industries Inc. in the lease of a new retail location in King George Gateway on Route 301 in King George County.

Goodwill plans to open what will be its 12th retail location in the Fredericksburg region in late 2014.  King George Gateway is anchored by WalMart. According to Thalhimer, phase two of its development will include the Goodwill store and other national and regional retailers.
