Chuck Thompson promoted to COO with DirectViz Solutions LLC

Chantilly-based information technology company DirectViz Solutions LLC announced Wednesday that Chuck Thompson has been promoted to chief operating officer.

With more than three decades of management experience, Thompson was most recently executive vice president of operations at the company. He succeeds Michael McHugh, who was promoted to CEO in mid-August.

Before his time with DirectViz, Thompson spent more than 12 years with Digital Management Inc., where he had most recently served as executive vice president of the mobile technology firm’s defense and homeland security division. He also worked as a senior director with Arlington-based defense company BAE Systems Inc. (a subsidiary of United Kingdom-based BAE Systems plc).

DirectViz has more than 500 full-time employees and has been recognized as one of the industry’s fastest growing companies by Inc. Magazine. The company provides IT services including enterprise systems management, cloud computing and data center management.
