Santa Clara, California-based data center campus company Vantage Data Centers, which opened an Ashburn location in 2019, will expand in Europe through a $2 billion investment, the company announced Monday.
Vantage will acquire data center company Etix Everywhere SA, which has a data center campus in Frankfurt, Germany. Vantage will develop data center campuses in Berlin, Germany; Milan, Italy; Warsaw, Poland; and Zurich, Switzerland. “As data center demand from our customer base continues to rapidly increase worldwide, Vantage is embarking upon its largest expansion ever into Europe through the development of five strategic markets,” Vantage CEO and President Sureel Choksi said in a statement. “The acquisition of Etix accelerates our expansion to Frankfurt, Europe’s highest growth hyperscale market. We are very excited to welcome Antoine and his team to lead our European business.”
The following European facilities are currently being constructed: 13-acre Berlin campus, 8-acre Frankfurt campus, 17-acre Milan campus, 12-acre Warsaw campus and 7-acre Zurich campus.
