28 COVID-19 deaths at Henrico nursing facility
11 residents have died since last Friday

Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center reported Monday afternoon that 28 residents have died from causes related to COVID-19, 11 since last Friday’s announcement. There are currently 88 residents and 25 employees at the Henrico County long-term care facility who have tested positive; all have been tested, the center said, although some staff members’ test results are still pending.
Of the positive cases among residents, 54 are asymptomatic and 34 are experiencing symptoms and are being treated onsite in an isolated wing or in a hospital.
The facility has had the highest number of positive cases and virus-related deaths in the state, according to Virginia health officials.
