Yarn manufacturer to create 60 jobs in Mecklenburg

Régitex USA LLC will open a yarn manufacturing plant in Mecklenburg County, creating 60 jobs.
Régitex, which manufactures made-to-order ring spun and open-end yar,n will spend $1.5 million to purchase and upgrade an existing textile plant.
Régitex USA LLC is a subsidiary of Régitex Inc., which is based in Quebec, Canada.
Rick Martignetti, president of Régitex USA LLC said Virginia’s work force, location and transportation infrastructure is the reason it chose to locate in Virginia.

The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission approved $150,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds for the project.
