Roanoke-based law firm Woods Rogers PLC is expanding into Charlottesville. The firm is opening a new office, which will be led by Russell T. “Rusty” Schundler, a former Woods Rogers attorney. Schundler returned to the firm as a partner after practicing the last three years for McGuireWoods in Charlottesville. His practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance.
Schundler and two other attorneys, W. McIlwaine “Mac” Thompson Jr. and Peter E. Rosden, will work in the Charlottesville office located at 100 Tenth St.
Woods Rogers, based out of Roanoke since 1893, also has offices in Richmond and Danville. “Clients in the Charlottesville area can now tap into the expertise in over 25 practice areas, bringing the services of a sizeable firm with 117 years of service to the area,” Tom Bagby, president of Woods Rogers, said in a statement.
