Signature, a Norfolk–based wealth management firm, plans to open an office in Richmond’s Shockoe Slip district.

The office will be led by Chris Rusbuldt who previously held previous posts at Bank of America, Wheat First Butcher Singer, BB&T Capital Markets and Davenport & Co.

The Richmond office will be the third for Signature, which was founded in 1994. The firm acquired an office in Charlottesville in December 2007.

The firm has seen client assets grown from $2 billion to $2.5 billion since 2010.

Signature is led by Chairman Anne Shumadine, CEO Randy Webb and CFO Susan Colpitts.
