Virginia law firm announces Tiger Woods divorce
- August 23, 2010
Virginia’s largest law firm represented Elin Nordegren in her divorce from pro golfer Tiger Woods.
The divorce was announced today by Richmond-based McGuireWoods LLP and Sasser, Cestero and Sasser PA, a West Palm Beach, Fla., firm representing Woods.
A judgment ending the marriage was entered today in Bay County (Fla.) Circuit Court. The judgment provides shared parenting of the couple’s two children, a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and a 1-year-old son, Charlie.
No settlement figure was released.
Woods, 34, and Nordegren, 30, have been estranged since late last year when reports began circulating about Woods’ numerous affairs.
Nordegren was represented by four McGuireWoods attorneys: Richard Cullen and David Belcher in Richmond, Scott S. Cairns in Jacksonville, Fla., and Josefin Lonnborg in London.
Cullen, a former Virginia attorney general, is chairman of McGuireWoods. The firm has the most lawyers in the state, according to Virginia Business’ annual List of Leaders.
