Virginia business climate receives another accolade
- June 24, 2009
Virginia has again been named the country’s No. 1 pro-business state.
Pollina Corporate Real Estate, a U.S. corporate relocation company, put Virginia in the top spot in its annual list of the top pro-business states.
Virginia ranked third on the list last year, but was No. 1 in 2003 and 2007. Between 2004 and 2006 it ranked second.
States were evaluated on 33 factors, including taxes, right-to-work laws, energy costs, economic incentives programs and state economic development efforts.
The other states in the top five spots are: Utah, North Carolina, Wyoming and South Carolina.
