IT contractor Science Applications International Corp. announced it recently has received $242 million in government and commercial health-care contracts.
The awards range from implementing electronic health record products and systems for commercial health-care providers, to new federal programs in health information technology, life sciences and behavioral health services.
SAIC is expanding its capabilities in health-care technologies with recent acquisitions of maxIT Healthcare and Vitalize Consulting Solutions. Both subsidiaries received bundled contracts to implement and operate ERTs at hospitals and clinics throughout North America worth $52.2 million and $50 million respectively.
“This has been an important quarter for our health solutions team, as we work to unify our commercial healthcare teams and leverage their skills across both the commercial and federal markets,” SAIC Senior Vice President and Health Solutions Business Unit General Manager Steve Comber said in a statement.
