- June 25, 2009
Quebecor World Inc., a Canada-based marketing and advertising company, plans to invest $35 million to expand printing production in Frederick County. With the addition of two new presses, the company will retain 150 jobs and create 30 new positions, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine announced today.
Quebecor provides marketing and advertising services to retailers and many other businesses. It is a market leader in many of its product categories including inserts and catalogs. Altogether, the company operates 90 printing facilities worldwide that employ 20,000 people. Quebecor will receive a $300,000 performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership program, an incentive available to existing Virginia companies. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Frederick County to secure the project.
