Plans to sell state liquor stores pulled
- February 10, 2010
A bill to privatize ABC stores was dropped Tuesday by its sponor, Sen. Mark Obenshain of Harrisonburg.
Privatizing the state’s liquor stores was Gov. Bob McDonnell’s key campaign pitch to raise money for transportation.
Obenshain says he may introduce it again during a special transportation session later this year or the regular session next year.
