OPOWER raises $50 million in financing

Arlington-based OPOWER, a major energy-efficiency and smart-grid software company, has closed on $50 million in financing.

This round of financing was co-led by Accel Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, with participation by New Enterprise Associates, OPOWER’s largest investor.

The money will be used to support the company’s expansion and accelerate product development
