McLean-based Alion Science and Technology Corp. has been awarded a three-year, $1.2 million contract from NASA.

The Space Performance Research Integration Tool project will require Alion to develop human performance models to predict how fatigue affects astronaut performance, especially concerning workload transitions.

The three-phase contract will involve literature reviews and meta-analyses, model/tool development and human-in-the-loop studies at Colorado State University.
