Monogram to add 150 jobs in Henry County
- June 25, 2010
Monogram Food Solutions LLC is spending $4 million to expand its Henry County plant, adding 150 new jobs to the economically depressed area.
Memphis, Tenn.-based Monogram is one of the largest manufacturers of meat snacks, such as jerky, kippered beef sticks and pickled sausages. All of Monogram’s products are made in the United States and include King Cotton, Circle B, Trail’s Best, Pete’s Pride, Jeff Foxworthy and Bass Pro Shop’s Uncle Buck’s Licensed Products.
Karl Schledwitz, chairman and CEO of Monogram Food Solutions, said Henry’s work force and cooperation from the state’s economic development organizations were the key reasons for expanding in Virginia.
“We are highly impressed with the Henry County work force,” Schledwitz said. “Our employees are talented and dedicated to making high-quality meat products efficiently. With Henry County’s high unemployment rate, there are many additional fine people in need of a good job, and we are pleased to add them to our family.”
