- October 5, 2010
Moving day is less than a week away for MicroStrategy, Inc. To accommodate a growing staff, the McLean-based business intelligence technology company will relocate its headquarters on Oct. 11 into 166,000 square feet of space at 1850 Towers Crescent Plaza, the newest office building at Tysons Corner.
More than 750 local employees will work in the building. According to the company, aggressive recruiting has added hundreds of employees worldwide this year to the firm’s operations in more than 20 countries, and it expects to fill more openings over the next 12 months.
Towers Crescent is located along the I-495 Capital Beltway. The new headquarters will allow for the expansion of customer education programs with a 5,800-square-foot training center that includes five classrooms. A new welcome center will be located on the building’s top floor, which offers panoramic views of Washington, D.C.
A mobile showcase area will allow demonstrations of MicroStrategy’s technology advances in mobile intelligence for the iPad, iPhone and Blackberry. Some of the companies clients include eBay, Lowe’s, MetLife, Netflix and Starbucks.
“As a leading employer in the Washington, D.C. area, we wanted a signature building that reflects our commitment to the region and provides a best-in-class work environment for our growing organization,” Sanju Bansal, MicroStrategy’s COO, said in a statement.
