McLean-based Aveshka Inc. has acquired the homeland security and private sector preparedness unit of Civitas Group.
Aveshka said the deal adds exceptional policy consulting and strategic advisement credentials to the company’s suite of capabilities.
“Without question, this acquisition will serve as a force multiplier for the growth of Aveshka,” Aveshka President and CEO Girish Jindia said in a statement. “It enables us to expand our market footprint and provide more diverse offerings to our clients – all while maintaining the high standards of quality and reliability for which both firms are known. With this acquisition, we have strengthened our ability to help our clients prepare for and address a diverse range of threats in the physical world and cyberspace.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Washington, D.C.-based Civitas said the deal would allow it to focus on the continued growth of its core business of commercial sector strategy and management consulting as well as mergers and acquisition strategy and investment due diligence.
