Attention marathon and last-minute shoppers. Round–the-clock holiday shopping, starting at 7 p.m on Dec. 21 and continuing through 6 p.m. on Dec. 24, will be an option for shoppers at Macy’s at Tysons Corner in McLean.  The department store in Fairfax County is among 14 Macy’s that will be open for an 83-hour stretch to accommodate holiday shoppers.
Another 27 Macy stores will remain open until 2 a.m. those same three nights, but none of them are in Virginia.

Macy’s started keeping some of its stores open for 24 hours in 2006. “Our 24-hour stores have been a hit with holiday shoppers for the past five years,” Ron Klein, Macy’s chief stores officer, said in a news release. “Our customers have told us when they want to shop, and after hours and overnight shopping comes out a clear winner as the countdown to Christmas gets close.”
