Loudoun supervisors turn down HCA proposal
- February 4, 2009
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors turned down a proposal by HCA Virginia to build a 164-bed hospital.
HCA received permission to build the hospital from the state health commissioner in 2004. But the supervisors voted against the plan 5-4, citing concerns about traffic, noise and its location.
Inova Health System, which operates hospitals and medical centers throughout Northern Virginia, had vigorously opposed HCA’s proposal. (The Washington Post)
