July business strong for Richmond office of Jones Lang LaSalle
- August 25, 2010
Forget the dog days of summer. July turned out to be a busy month for the Richmond office of Jones Lang LaSalle. It completed deals involving more than 350,140 square feet of space during July. According to a company press release, the transactions included 13 leases, many of them renewals, and the sale of one office building.
Among the largest deals was a 135,000-square-foot lease renewal for Bostwick Laboratories in the Innsbrook Corporate Center in Henrico County. Jones Lang LaSalle also renewed a national client for 62,753 square feet at Stony Point III in Richmond.
The sale involved the disposition of the Richmond Federal Credit Union’s 6,500 square-foot office building in Midlothian.
Jones Lang LaSalle expanded its Richmond office in July 2009, to include agency leasing, tenant representation, industrial leasing and capital markets. Many of the brokers, including the office’s Managing Director Charlie Polk, used to work for GVA Advantis, which closed its operations in Richmond last summer. Jones Lang LaSalle also added a Hampton Roads office in May.
