Real estate giant Jones Lang LaSalle has opened a new Hampton Roads office in Virginia Beach. It will be headed by Gregg Christoffersen who will focus on landlord and tenant broker services. Before joining his new employer, Christoffersen worked for more than 17 years as principal broker for Continental Realty Services Inc. in Virginia Beach, overseeing the leases of nearly 1 million square feet of office and industrial properties.

Also joining the company as a senior vice president and member of the multi-family team in Richmond is Todd Weinstein, who was most recently with Transwestern.

The Hampton Roads office continues to raises the company’s profile in Virginia. Jones Lang LaSalle expanded its Richmond office last summer and hired the top-producing broker, Charlie Polk, from GVA Advantis after GVA closed its operations. Polk remains in charge of the Richmond/Hampton Roads region.

An industry leader, Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle is a financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate. It has 750 locations in 60 countries. The Mid-Atlantic region supports a staff of 750 employees who manage more than 24 million square feet.  Worldwide, the company — which had $2.5 billion in revenue in 2009 — has a portfolio of about 1.6 billion square feet.
