The 504-kilowatt system will produce approximately 636,199 kilowatt of electricity.
The Woodbridge installation represents the 21st completed solar energy project for IKEA in the U.S., with 18 more locations under way.
When completed, the projects will generate a combined 38 megawatts of power..
Located on 11.5 acres along I-95 on Potomac Mills Circle, the 325,000-square-foot IKEA Woodbridge opened in April 1986.
A new 300,000-square-foot Woodbridge store opened November 2001.
