Hilton Worldwide announces money back guarantee for Gulf Coast guests
- June 17, 2010
Hilton Worldwide today announced that guests visiting any Hilton Worldwide property in the region of the recent oil spill can cancel their reservations and receive a 100 percent refund.
The “Beach Satisfaction Guarantee,” ensures that from today through July 31, guests scheduled to visit any of the Hilton Worldwide’s hotels from the Gulf Coast to South Florida that are beachfront or within a 20 minute drive to the beach, will not be charged if their stay is affected by the Gulf oil spill.
“Hilton Worldwide recognizes that some travelers are hesitant to plan a beach vacation to the Gulf Coast this summer due to the uncertainty around the impact of the oil spill on the region’s beaches. Therefore, we are offering the Beach Satisfaction Guarantee to provide our guests with peace-of-mind as they plan their summer vacations to the region,” Paul Brown, president, global brands & commercial services, Hilton Worldwide, said in a statement.
The details of the “Beach Satisfaction Guarantee” include a waive of cancellation fees if customers feel their stay will be negatively impacted by the Gulf oil spill and a waive of early departure charges if customers check out before the scheduled departure date because of the Gulf oil spill impact.
