Health-care products company to move to Franklin County, creating 80 jobs

A manufacturer of cold-therapy products for orthopedic patients is moving its headquarters and manufacturing operations from Pennsylvania to Franklin County, creating 80 jobs over the next three years.
Solution Matrix Inc. will spend $2.25 million to build a 25,000-square-foot facility in the Franklin County Commerce Center. The company provides products that treat post-surgical procedures and acute injuries.
“This decision is critical to the future of our company, and our analysis proved that Franklin County, Va., is the right partner to help us meet our growth goals,” Keith Marshall, president and CEO of Solution Matrix, said in a statement.
The Virginia Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission approved $150,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds for the project.
