GSI Commerce is expanding in Henry County, creating 60 new jobs.

GSI Commerce, which already employs 1,000 full-time and seasonal workers in Henry, provides ecommerce and interactive marketing solutions. It is headquartered in King of Prussia, Pa., and is a compay of Ebay Inc.

The company plans to spend $1.5 million to expand its leased fulfillment facility in Henry.

“We are proud to be in a partnership with the State of Virginia, Henry County, and the great people of this area. We have grown with the help of the local residents who work here at GSI and the local support from the community and the state,” Tobias Hartmann, head of Global Operations for GSI, said in a statement.

Gov. Bob McDonnell approved a $75,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund to help Henry with the project.
