AVID Medical, a manufacturer of procedure trays for hospital and surgical use, will hire about 100 workers over the next year. The James City County-based company completed an $8 million expansion, which doubled the size of its plant. It serves about 1,000 hospitals and surgery centers. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Electric Motor and Contracting Co., a Chesapeake machinery facility, will spend $8.5 million on a 22,000-square-foot expansion and renovation, which will lead to the creation of 11 jobs with an average salary of $75,000. The company employs 200 workers. (News release)

JASE Group, a full-service advertising and marketing agency in Norfolk, is now the agency of record for Bradley Team Real Estate of Virginia Beach. JASE will handle Bradley’s online and strategic brand development and marketing initiatives. (News release)
