Euro-Composites Corp. plans to expand its U.S. headquarters in Culpeper County, creating 70 jobs.
Euro-Composites, based in Luxembourg, manufactures composite material used in aerospace and other industries. The company will spend $11.25 million on its expansion.
“A key deciding factor in our continued expansion in Virginia was the commitment to our employees and the critical role they play, not only in our success, but in future growth plans,” Sylke Heil, executive vice president administration & treasurer of Euro-Composites, said in a statement.
Virginia competed with South Carolina for the project.
Gov. Bob McDonnell approved $150,000 from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund to help Culpeper with the project.
