DuPont to cut 450 to 500 jobs in Chesterfield
- May 8, 2009
DuPont has announced it will cut between 450 and 500 jobs at its Spruance Plant in Chesterfield County this summer.
The Wilmington, Del.-based company said it has seen a dramatic decline in demand for its products, which are used in a wide range of industrial applications.
The cuts in Chesterfield are part of a larger reduction in the company’s work force. The company said it will cut 2,000 jobs overall. Earlier this year, DuPont cut 2,500 jobs, including 300 Richmond contractors.
