Dominion announces $1.1 million in environmental grants

Dominion Resources is spending $1.1 million on 90 environmental projects and organizations in 11 states in honor of Earth Day.
In Virginia, the company is giving $520,000 to 41 organizations, including the Virginia Association of Parks, the Audubon Society, Nature Conservancy, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.
Dominion will also give to local environmental groups around the state, such as the Maymont Foundation, Friends of Chesterfield’s Riverfront, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Northern Virginia Regional Park Foundation, and Trout Unlimited in Waynesboro.
