Cvent adds more than 500 new clients

Cvent, the world’s largest provider of online event management, is seeing an uptick in business. The McLean-based company says that more than 500 new customers have signed on for its event management software in 2010. They include well-known companies such as Boeing, Nationwide Mutual Insurance and BusinessWeek magazine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
“Although budget concerns led many organizations to scale back on events in recent years, face-to-face meetings are still considered best for building the relationships that drive business. We see the recent uptick in customers adopting Cvent’s event management software as evidence that the meetings industry is gathering steam,” Brian Ludwig, Cvent’s vice president of sales, said in a statement.
Cvent says its software helps event planners to centrally manage and automate many tasks, so they can focus more on strategic planning.
