- July 14, 2009
Falls Church-based CSC has signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense to improve cyber security of important defense information.
CSC is one of a few companies selected to join the DoD’s Defense Industrial Program. Under the plan, members of the Defense Industrial Program and the department will collaborate on ways to fight attempts to attack networks. Together, the DoD and program members will improve risk management for network infrastructure that contains vital defense information.
The agreement is part of President Barack Obama’s Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative.
“Cyber attacks are one of the biggest threats to our nation and global economic partners, and CSC is one of the leading IT companies that serves both public sector and private sector firms,” CSC’s Chief Information Officer David McCue said in a statement.
