CSC receives $28 million expansion of U.S. Army flight training
- August 6, 2010
CSC has received a $28 million modification to its simulator-based flight training support for the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence in Ft. Rucker, Ala.
Under new terms, CSC will provide training for new Army aircraft configurations.
CSC received the original contract in 2003, which had a six-month base period and 19 one-year options. CSC provides simulation training in a 136,000-square-foot facility that houses 34 flight simulators.
The modification increases the number of aircraft configurations, which will allow 25 percent more students to take the Entry Rotary Wing course, where officers learn the skills to become an Army Aviator.
