Convention Bureau in Prince William focused on Civil War Sesquicentennial
- November 9, 2010
Local officials have restructured the Prince William County/Manassas Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), which is focused on promoting tourism during the Civil War Sesquicentennial.
The CVB also has a new location on Balls Ford Road.
“We can no longer be the ‘Washington region’s best kept secret,’ but instead must work to aggressively drive travelers to our area and bolster our county’s economy through a vibrant tourism sector. The CVB is perfectly positioned to do that,” said the organization’s executive director, Ann Marie Maher.
The CVB plans to rebrand its logo, marketing materials, website and social media platforms to enhance its visibility. The CVB already has launched a special website focused on a Civil War re-enactment in July, http://www.ManassasBullRun.com
