Construction has begun on a 680-acre business park in Tazewell County that is expected to bring more than 800 jobs to Southwestern Virginia.

The Bluestone Regional Business and Technology Park will be located along U.S. 460 near Bluefield.

The multiphase project includes space for incubator businesses, manufacturing and distribution sites, a resort area, 9-hole golf course and mixed-use residential and commercial development. One of the first buildings will be a work-force training center.

The first phase of the project includes road infrastructure, bringing water, sewer and electricity to the site, and build-out of two sites on the property.
