There’s a new player in Hampton’s commercial real estate market. Richmond-based Commonwealth Commercial Partners has opened an office on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach.

Commonwealth Commercial, founded in 1996, manages more than 5 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties as well as leases totaling more than five million square feet. President Mark W. Claud said the new Hampton Roads office is “part of our growth strategy to expand our business in other markets …”
In 2008, the company formed StreamCo LLC, a commercial real estate asset management firm. It manages more than 3 million square feet in 16 states. In March of this year, Commonwealth formed a new division, Commonwealth Land, which specializes in the sales and brokerage of rural and urban land.
